Student's interests, choices and strengths will be at the heart of programme design.
Each student will undertake a vocational assessment to enable them to express their views. The aspects covered will include:

Previous work experience
Jobs of interest
Routes4Life staff will then process the information gathered and then work towards creating a meaningful and engaging work placement to increase their individual skill set.
Students will be fully supported at their work placement and through their transition into their working life by Routes4Life staff. They will be taught essential skills to prepare them to start their placement; this could include creating resumes / CVs, completing applications and preparing for interviews. It also includes a review of skills required in specific types of jobs in a variety of settings. This support will be ongoing so that they are fully confident and happy to undertake current and future work opportunities.
The skills taught will include knowledge of:
Job safety
Payroll and financial issues
Interacting with supervisors
Working with colleagues
Dealing with the public
